How would you rate your Gender Intelligence?

How would you rate  your  Gender Intelligence?

Liz was promoted to her dream senior position after years
of hard slog but finds she is not being heard at the weekly
executive meetings – no one asks her opinion.

Magda has been for three promotions unsuccessfully and each
time was told that she just didn’t come across as confident
enough by her male boss – she is very experienced and likes to
 include others’ opinions as well.
Bill is very go-getting in his sales role but has begun to notice
that some of his female clients are moving to other vendors – he
likes to save time and get to the point quickly.
On the other hand men believe that they are not consciously excluding
women and are simply behaving as they do with male colleagues.
It can help us as women to understand that:
  1. Men believe if someone wants to make a comment they will; that there is no need to ask them for an opinion and that in fact they may consider it as putting someone on the spot
  2. Men joke and kid each other to build trust and friendships; they do not see it as a putdown
  3. Men are less likely to look up and engage immediately when someone comes to their desk; they evaluate whether it’s more important to continue with or to pause what they are doing.
  4. Men view team-working as a means to achieving the task more efficiently and so prefer meetings that are brief and to the point.
